My 8 year old daughter loves these books. It is a good series to start independent reading with. Heidi is a character you little girl will fall in love with and want to read more!

CHAPTER BOOKS FOR TRULY BEGINNING READERS! YEST ITS TRUE!!
I am an educator and a mother of a 2nd grader who is a struggeling reader. She wanted desperately to read "chapter books" like her peers; but they were above her reading level and causing a great deal of frustration. This series has been a god-send! My little one is reading the chapter books she so wanted to read, but the best part is that she is understanding them!!! The language is positioned beautifully for emmerging readers. My little one is so proud of herself! She feels like a big girl! She loves the books! But what is most impotant is that she is comprehending what she is reading. A+ from this mommy/teacher!!

I tutor a 3rd grader in reading and she and I read this book in 2 days! She loves these books and I'm working on getting all of them for her for summer reading.

As with the other books in this series this was an easy read. It can be challenging depending on the reading level but it is easy as in once you get started you want to see what happens. There a pictures on every page which keeps the interest of young readers. The characters are funny and lovable. I'm looking forward to starting the next one!

In the first part of the book, Kristeva examines the manner in which three of the most unsettling modern writers―Aragon, Sartre, and Barthes―affirm their personal rebellion.

In the second part of the book, Kristeva ponders the future of rebellion. She maintains that the "new world order" is not favorable to revolt. "What can we revolt against if power is vacant and values corrupt?" she asks. Not only is political revolt mired in compromise among parties whose differences are less and less obvious, but an essential component of European culture―a culture of doubt and criticism―is losing its moral and aesthetic impact.

About the Author
Frank Riley was Professor of Ceramic Processing (and is now Professor Emeritus) at the University of Leeds where he researched and taught for over 30 years. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. He has directed two NATO Advanced Study Institutes, is editor of several conferences proceedings, and has authored many research publications and review articles.

This book expose clearly essentiels about structural ceramics. It gives a systematic description on each ceramic family, short fundamentals on phases transformation and sintering processes, chemical and physical proprieties. It describes clearly the historical development of structural ceramics, their present uses and their technical limits. It contains many physical and chemical proprieties usefull to material selection and a wide references list to complete the reading. It is highly recommanded for scientists involved with material selection.
