Anna Todd is a first-time writer spending her days in the Austin area with her husband, with whom she beat half the statistics by getting married one month after graduating high school. Between her husband's three deployments to Iraq, she worked odd jobs from a makeup counter to the IRS processing counter. Anna was always an avid reader and boy band and romance lover, so now that she's found a way to combine the three she's enjoying living a real-life dream come true.

WORST. AUDIBLE BOOK

WORST. AUDIBLE BOOK. EVER. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I am stunned by some of these reviews and feel that either this author has an extremely large family/friend base or these reviewers are simply dillusional. I've enjoyed over 50 audible.com books and this was the first one and first time I have ever returned a book. With the exception of the narrators who did their best to give life to this deathless prose, this book was an atrocity and I only kept listening out of the unrealized hope that it would get better, and then it further deteriorated into a train wreck and I abandoned all hope. Not a single character is believable, likeable, realistic, relatable or functions outside of their own narcissistic, self-involved, whining, idiotic bubble. Hardin is simply irredeemable-- a total jerk who is so one-dimensionally awful, immature and unlikable as to make Tessa even more of an idiot to keep holding on and staying involved, no matter how good the sex. The writing makes 50 Shades of Grey feel like Pulitzer Prize material by comparison. I did not realize the book was part of a series when I started it, and there is no way on earth I would waste another second-- or credit-- to follow this luckless and inane duo through their machinations and ramblings. Where is the plot? Where is there any semblance of depth or caring about these stilted, lifeless idiots? A resounding pass and caveat emptor to any future reader or listener.

Anna Todd needs a new hobby .....

I have to admit. I loved the first book, second book was alright. But this is just downright poor. Don't know if I had high expectations or this book was as bad as I interpreted it. The relationship between Hardin and Tessa is toxic. Yes we get it, they love each other, but the constant reoccuring events? They fight; Tess gets upset and leaves bringing other charecters into her problems to add to the already crap story; Hardin does something bad; Tessa hears about it; Hardin apologizes; she says she doesn't know if she can trust him; make up sex; and then Hardin makes Tessa angry and it repeats the whole cycle. To be honest, I'm getting tired of reading the same thing over and over again, seriously.
Plus the story is not going anywhere. Events are the same. Some random event with Tessas mom, or she hears something about Hardins passes and she gets mad. This is what I don't understand.
I also noticed a significant amount of diction and spelling mistakes throughout the novel. You'd think Anna Todd would properly revise the novel instead of focusing on her anticlimatic sex scenes? Doubt it. When Hardin fingers Tessa in a club, IN PUBLIC, i lost all hope for the remainder of the novel. Todd trys to make Tessa a naive, sexually adventourus girl, but overall Tessa comes out as a whore. My use of wording is not incorrect. Who the **** lets a man perform a highly sexual act on them in the middle of a JAZZ BAR? C'mon.
