A quick read that was enough to detail the main points and give me food for thought to make positive financial changes!

Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, but I find myself getting less and less time to read due to life being so crazy busy. My magazine rack is full; my night stand loaded with books, my library books go back partially read and my Kindle full of unread titles !!
This is where these key takeaway books are great!! This is the second such book I have read, and though for me personally I am not sure the fiction category would be my choice, for nonfiction books I am required to read for work, or books such as this where they have some important life skills to share -the paired down version is an excellent idea!
I have always been interested in learning more money management skills. Now I have managed to fulfill many of the tips in this book -such as paying off student loans, becoming debt free and creating an emergency saving fund. But I still feel as though I could manage my finanical future better and build a better nest egg; and this book took the major points of this book and quickly and efficiently explained them.
I will say at first I found the book repeated the key takeaways which I found a little odd. However it then went on to explain each of the steps in greater detail. I found myself yearning for more detail in some sections such as best ways to invest in college savings -the book talks about Ramsey's daughter saving money by attending a local college, but did not go into detail about the best ways to invest college money - but for that I suppose I would read the entire book. But in other areas I was amazed to be inspired to make changes despite this being less than 30 pages long!
I quickly got through this and our family got into deep discussions about amounts to put into 401k verses a Roth and Mutual funds. I was also skeptical about the section that suggests you pay off your mortgage until I discovered some very real, basic and attainable steps that I was able to put into place that would make a difference such as rounding up my payment.
The book can be read quickly -very quickly in 15 to 30 minutes - but does an excellent job of highlighting the main steps and going into enough detail that you can make changes ! I doubt I would have ever got around to reading the full book, but this really did contain enough detail that I have been able to seriously consider and in some cases implement some of the ideas to really build that future nest egg and protect my financial future!

What is the Total Money Makeover? The original book by Dave Ramsey is a book teaching you how to go from being "debt ridden to financially secure". There are seven baby steps which are all briefly listed in this Eureka book/summary. The Key Takeaways are the seven baby steps in more detail PLUS this last one:
>>> #8 - "There are many myths about money that lead people astray. Do not fall victim to them"
If you feel like you are drowning in debt and/or want to be a better steward of your money then this may well be the book for you. It doesn't take much savvy to look around and realize that debt is not a good thing. The main key to financial freedom and the steps in this book working for you, is YOUR desire to be debt free. You CAN do it but it may take some will power!
What is an emergency fund? How much should you have in it? Thinking of using debt to leverage yourself into prosperity? Not a good idea according to Dave Ramsey!
Even though this Eureka book is a summary and NOT the original book, it contains a LOT of information in it. Most of it is common sense but it may be just what you need to start that walk towards financial freedom rather than being a slave to debt. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Must read for those looking for financial advice

One of the best if not the best financial book on the market. Bought this summary to help keep me refreshed on the top ideas. Great summary guide that offered so much. It gave me additional insight into the book. It gets right down to the important stuff and cuts out all the fluff. Would recommend to anyone interested in the book or looking for a top rated financial advice book. Just applying a few of the key ideas I see a difference in my bank account!
